This Is Me

I have been practising medicine for 23 years and the last 10 years were more exciting than the previous 13 as my view of diseases and health has changed and with a pretty in-depth knowledge about Functional Medicine, I know that I can help my patients better.

My approach is to personalise management for each patient knowing that everyone is unique and with functional lab and diagnostic testings being more and more easily accessible personalised medicine become quite interesting. I also require my patients to work together with me towards their wellness because at the end of the day, they know themselves best and their lifestyle should simply be their medicine.

I strongly believe in Functional Medicine approach, at looking for the imbalances of our whole body systems caused by the interaction between our genes and our lifestyle and environment. I will focus on creating health instead of matching the pills with the ills because when we create health, diseases takes care of itself.

As our body systems work like a symphony orchestra, making sure every systems are in tune is important. Functional medicine integrates medical practices creating a focus on prevention through nutrition, diet, and exercise; through use of the latest functional laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques; and prescribed combinations of drugs and/or  supplements, therapeutic diets, exercise, detoxification programs, or stress-management techniques.

So, Functional Medicine is a system biology approach in managing chronic diseases and preventing illnesses. It treats the cause, not the risk factors, treats the whole system, not the symptoms, creates wellness and let nature takes its way in making diseases go away
